I would like to thank DOS via Lucie for inviting Gail and myself too judge at KERKWIJK OBEDIENCE WEDSTRIJD, it was as usual an excellent weekend and an honor as it was DOS's 25th anniversary. The classes were held indoor at a super perpose build venue ideal for show and obedience dogs, (wish we had some in England...) I'm glad we held the show indoor as we had a thunderstorm during the afternoon which was very heavy..Thank you again, Lucie and Bennie, for all the attention you gave to us both, you worked so hard and thanks Bennie for all the driving you must have been tired after we had gone home, we both enjoyed the lovely trip to Brugge Friday afternoon . Sunday, was the Fun day, which was a real hoot and extremely well organised well done Trudy, Angela and Monique.
PREBEGINERS
FIRST no.67.KARIN STEGMEIJER - PRONKJEWAIL VAN'T LOUG HOAGY What a lovely little cavalier, attention beautiful tried all the way round the ring.. very very well motivated just a few wides and about turns were markable today, but the overall picture was fab..
SECOND no.21 JOSE FLIERMAN - NICE OF YOU TO COME BYE BE CLEVER Another lovely round from this collie, lost this class through hand touching and just a few wides and OCP on recall. I understand this was your first time in the ring.. WOW top handler of the future perhaps..
THIRD no.14 JEANNINE DEPREZ There was some nice bits of heelwork in both HOL and HF, but a tight lead in places and inconsistances in the HW position add up. Keep training and encouraging the correct HW position and your day will come. also work needed on recall.
THE FIRST TWO DOGS IN THIS PRE BEGINNER CLASS WERE MORE THAN READY FOR NOVICE, I WAS VERY SURPRISED TO SEE SUCH FAB HW FROM THE PRE BEG DOGS TODAY.. EYE OPENER
BEGINNERS
The beginners worked in very hot thundery conditions, The standard in the class was mixed, nerves accounted for a lot of mistakes by both handlers and dogs, must say the nerves never go away you just learn to handle them.
FIRST.. JOSE FLIERMAN - NICE OF YOU TO COME BYE BE CLEVER...Border Collie -Well done on this beginner win I'm sure you'll progress up the classes, keep on training you had a good day what a lovely start to your new hobby.
SECOND.. Ine Casteleyn -Twinkles Sweet Little Dara.. Border Collie - I'm sure it won't be long before you have top spot, being eager to please this will help a lot on your progression through the classes. Well done on this place.
THIRD.. Anja de Pagter - Olympic Eyes Offa from Let's Border- Anja HOL was much better than HF you need to work on your hw position it needs to be a little more comitted, but l'm sure thing will improve given time, nerves l felt payed a little in today performance.
FOURTH.. Wil Kromhout - Blackwitches Meike - Schipperke - Wil it must be very hard working such a small dog, l admire you, my feet would get in the way all the time. Meike tried very hard, again HOL much beter than HF, l must mention Aisha with her Schipperke, excellantly handled, plenty of play between exercises, just walk a little quicker, l'm sure you'll be a star of the future, keep it up.
FIFTH..Esther Brovwer - Best Mightymike of Clover Corner - Border Collie - Esther you are following the above HOL much smarter than HF. Your sets just need tidying up.
SIXTH Hanka Jongman - Best Jop of Clover Corner - Border Collie - Your HOL seems to be coming along but HF needs attention, but nerves take over going first and everyone watching, your sets were very nice. well done on this place l can see her is a very strong collie who wants his own way..
SEVENTH.. Marian de Jong - Hot Chilli's Yippee-a-yee - Australian Cattle Dog - Marian love your dogs name, sets nice, need more work on heelwork. well done.

The overall standard seems to improve everytime l visit, a few dogs caught my eye, with such improvements they were Monique with Mr darcy and Lucie with Benji. I haven't seen either of them work so well. Lucie gave the wrong position in assd, so she trained but Benji's HW and DC were super, get it right and i'm sure you'll be winning week after week..
FIRST..Mia Bosschaat - Mamamia's Tyke..Border Collie..Mia you won 'C' last year when l judged, obviously still on form. Your sets as usual were very good. Handlers late and extra commands cost points today, but a good scent secured top spot.
SECOND..Greet Vink Sealight Borych..Border Collie.. Well Greet,Borych tried his socks off today, very acurate heelwork with your neat handling, made my round look easy, messy scent slid you into 2nd position.
THIRD..Bianca v.d.Post - generous Genial Ginny - Australian Kelpie..Bianca l felt Ginny was much more controlled today and another dog whoes DC has improved dramatically. Still a little work needed on retrieve, bit messy. but definately on the way up.
FOURTH..Monique Magnus - Stillmore my Guy Mister Darcy..Border Collie - Monique, what can l say the very best l have seen Mister Darcy work - barking cost a few marks but you wouldn't want him any other way, he makes me smile. All your sets were so improved. keep it up.
FIFTH..Lenie Kasteleijn - Colliewood Caballe La Layla.. Lenie, ASSD positions today need a little work, especially as you have such lovely heelwork they spoil a perfect picture, l'm sure you'll have it sorted soon. good luck.
SIXTH..Steven Vannieuwenhuyse - Bytchek Esquire - Border Collie - Steven, lovely boy, just lots of bit and pieces add up and usually when young they go through this stage and come through very strong.. keep going he will be fab..
SEVENTH..Anita Kiers - Titus - Kruising - Well done on this place.
