Ring Steward Peter van de Velde.
Score Board Benie van de Casteele
Thank you for the hospitality of Danielle de Jonge letting Vik and I share her home for the weekend and for the company of Paul and Gwen. Also our trip into Amsterdam and the tour of some very interesting parts of the city!!!
It was a red-hot day with a slight breeze; the sun block came in very handy. The working surface was flat and the grass short.
I would like to say a big thank you to my C ring steward Peter and score board steward Benie who both did a fantastic job and made the day run very smoothly with no hiccups at all. Also a big thanks to the stay team and decoys and all those that helped behind the scenes to make this an enjoyable experience for me.
It gave me great pleasure to award the following teams their rosettes and cards.
1st Guus Scholten and Colliewood Velazquez Giovanni WSD D.
HF 4 ½ sendaway ¼. retrieve ½. distance F.Scent F Total 5 ¼. Not a lot I can say about this boy that hasn’t already been said. A fantastic dog of a lifetime, if there is any justice, you’re sure to win a ticket soon.
2nd Trudy Grenenboom and Colliewood Crazy Legs Guinness WSD D
HF 5. sendaway F. retrieve 1 ¼. distance 2. Scent ½ Total 8 ¾.
Guinness is a lovely looking boy with a great attitude, only a youngster and already up with the best. Good luck with him Trudy.
3rd Gwen Griffioen and Wyndanwood Plymouth Road Runner ASD D
HF 7 ¾ sendaway 1 retrieve ¾ distance F Scent ½ Total 10
Workman like and knows his heelwork position, very well schooled dog. Oh, for that missed position Gwen !!! Your qualifiers must be yours soon.
4th Pleun v.d Ster and ThisisBlizzof Albions March BC
HF 5 ¾ sendaway ½ retrieve ¾ distance 2 scent 1 ½ Total 10 ¼
Left turns being the main culprit of the day, and also coming forward
in distance control. Get these sorted and you will be at the top of the line up.
5th Mia Bosschaart and Mamamia’s Tyke WSD
HF 11 ½ sendaway ¼ retrieve ¼ distance 2 scent F total 14
Brilliant dog, shame that Mia gave two wrong commands in ASSD, A little forward movement in DC also. But cannot take anything away from the dog, he did what was asked.
6th Mariianne v.d. Ster and Scooby Doo of Albions March BC
HF 10 ½ sendaway 5 ¼ retrieve ¼ distance 3 Scent 1 total 20
Nice dog, handlers error in sendaway dropping Scooby to late and DC taking most points today. Good luck with Scooby.
7th Anja Smit and Armati’s Ambitious-As- Eye-Am BC
HF 5 ¾ sendaway ¼ retrieve 1 distance 9 scent 1 ½ sit stay 4 Total 21 ½
Distance and stays was costly today for Anja, I am sure the heat played a bit part in this. Good luck with JC in the future.
Also like to mention Brigitte v. Gestel and Twice as nice Twizzle van Benvenidas Jo.who put in an excellent training round.
It wasn’t so much the length of the round more like the size of the ring !!!
Happy dogging to all……….Sue xx
