Obedience Wedstrijd 7th November 09

I'ld like to start by thanking Lucy for inviting Gail and myself on behalf of the Dutch Obedience
Society to judge on the 7th November 09 it is always such a pleasure to come over and this time was
no exception your hospitality was just wonderful. The competitors are very motivated and
genuinely please for the winners, I love the atmosphere at the end of the day when prizes are
handed out. A big thank-you must go too the ring stewards and score boarders you are so
efficient. We have been to this venue before but it was in a different hall, l was amazed how large
or should l say huge the flower halls are.

Class Beginners

1st NICE OF YOU TO COME BYE GO WITH TH'FLOW – ANGELINE WAYOP-BEEKINK
Angeline and Flow came into my ring drawn first, a nerve racking experience for anyone...but set a
very good standard and Angeline handled very nicely . I think Angeline had relaxed slightly by
the time heel free came, and this was better than heel on lead, recall and retrieve slight errors only,
I'm sure will get the other beginner soon. Good luck in the higher classes.

2nd BEST TROY OF CLOVER CORNER – PETA SEINSTRA – Peta and Troy another good round
but the slight loss of heel work position at times was costly today but I'm sure on another day could
take the top spot. Well done on this place.

3rd KARDEN'S DESTINY DUC – JOBIEN STEIJN - Duc's heel free was lovely, the best mark of
the class. The retrieve was your downfall today get this sorted and you will fly out of this class.
Good luck on sorting that retrieve.

4th HOT CHILL'S YIPPEE-A-YEE – MARIAN DE JONG - Marian you cost Yip a higher place
with your tight lead and hand touching today, do watch this when going into the ring as Yip is more
than capable of winning this class.

5th THIMBA – INGE DE GRAAUW – Another dog who had better heel work in heel free, again
this very noticeable, a little work needed on about turns and position but worthy of this place, would
have been higher but unfortunately broke stays.

6th NEO V CAY'S HOME – KARIN SPANHAAK - Neo, worked well today apart from the hand
touching which cost silly marks..... Karin you need to work on the precision and drive then you will
soon be out of beginners as Neo is a fabulous big boy just waiting to be challenged with fun.

7th ZANDOR – ELLEN V. DORT – Well done Ellen on this place.

Class 'C'

1st COLLIEWOOD VELAZQUEZ GIOVANNI = GUUS SCHOLTEN – Guus and Gio were clear
winners today,Guus is a natural upright handler and Gio worked just beautifully today, no dipping
at the back, made my round flow with mouth watering set exercises. Well done on winning today as
this was my ticket round from earlier in the year.

2nd MAMAMIA'S TYKE – MIA BOSSCHAART – Another dog l like to watch work, tries very
hard to please, sets a little untidy today but still worthy of this place.

3rd SEALIGHT FLASH OF LIGHTNING – RICK V VEEREN – Well done Rick on this 3rd place
today, flash worked well, little out of position at times and a naughty sendaway but lovely to see
him work so well, DC has improved no end since the last time l judged you, keep it up.

4th BYTCHEK ESQUIRE = STEVEN VAMMIEUWENHUYSE – Nice round Steven, attitude
lovely, but slight inaccuracy's add up ASSD and sets messy today but Bugsy is a fab boy still only
young should mature into a star.

5th TWICE AS NICE TWIZZLE V BENVENIDA'S JOY – BRIGITTE V GESTEL - A missed
position coupled with you moving your hands costly today Brigitte. Twizzle does not need these
extra commands she is very capable of putting in a lovely round without them.

6th COLLIEWOOD CABALLE 'LA LAYLA' – LENIE KASTELEIJN - Layla is one of my
favourite dogs, l like her heel work position and attitude, missed first position in DC also Lenie
watch your hand movement. Unfortunately broke stays but still crept into the line up.
Must just mention Lucy and Benji,,who worked the very best l have seen them work it was
excellent, only to fall at the last hurdle, scent. Good Luck in the future/
