Embleem Dos

Date: 21/11/09
Place: Bleiswijk
Class: Novice, A, B, C.
Judge: Mavis Mills, Bronwyn Bartley

On behalf of Mavis and myself I would like to thank the Dutch Obedience Society for the invitation to judge at this show and looking after us during the day.
Thank you also to our hosts  Birgit & Gerrit for taking care of us during our stay.

I judged Novice & Class A while Mavis judged B & C.
Many competitors in my classes chose to do a training round which is not a problem for me but some ended up taking more time in the ring than if they had worked the round and that, I feel, is not fair to other competitors.
However, it was a good day and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.
On to the results then starting with :-

NOVICE   Steward  Steven Vannieuwenhuyse      Scoreboard Heidi Demon

1st  Brigitt v. Gestel  -  Joyful Life v Benvenida’s Joy   B/C

A super round from this pair gave them a clear and well deserved win.
A very impressive performance from a team which should have a bright future.

2nd  Yolande Hartman  - Bouncer – Kooikerhondje

Wide work in heelwork contributing mainly to points lost but good set exercises.
Wonn run-off from

3rd Frans de Groot  -  Quila  - Golden Retriever

Similar faults to Bouncer in heelwork but again good set exercises.

4th  Gwen Griffioen – Tongwens Chocolate Dream  -  Kruising

Superb attitude & commitment but a certain amount of “talking” from Toffey couldn’t be ignored.

5th  Henk Eekman – Britt Dara Van’t Olde Sallend – Oud Duitse
                                                                                 Herdershond

6th  Anne Marie Ibelings  - Absolutely Fabulous Pheobe – W/S

Not a bad round from this team. Lack of confidence heel free but should improve.

7th  -  Arlett Geenen  -  Ion Lafs Off v. Daelenbroek  -  Kerry Blue Terrier

Heelwork needs tightening up but good set exercises.

CLASS A    Steward Greet Vink             Score  Ingrid Eekman

1st  Marianne v.d. Ster  -  Amazing Yoda of Albion’s March  B/C

An excellent round from this team. Heelwork was stylish, keen and very attentive. However Yoda almost threw it away in scent. A little work needed in this department I think!!

2nd  Frans de Groot  - Quila  - Golden Retriever

As in Novice the sets exercises were good but more attention needed in heelwork, but to be placed in both classes shows his consistency.

3rd  Martine Verhoeven  -  Fouzywouzy from Imkes Friends  B/C

4th  Henk Eekman – Britt Dara van’t Olde Salland  Oudduitse
                                                                                    Herdershond

5th  Jose Flierman – Nice Of You To Come Bye Be Clever  B/C

Another good round which was spoiled by an untidy scent.

6th  Anneke Hollemans – Quebey’s Boy Twice van Benvenida’s Joy  B/C

7th  Rose Dewulf -  Bekkis Yours Faithfully  B/C

Stays lets this team down after working a very good round.

So finally I would like to thank my stewards for the day
Novice  - Steven & Heidi
Class A  -  Greet & Ingrid
You all did a great job.                                         Bronwyn Bartley

CLASS B             17 entries  -  9 trained  - 6 worked  - 2 absent

1st  Bianca v.d. Post  - Nice Of You To Come Bye- Eager Wizard   B/C
Well done on your third B win. Well deserved today and good luck in C.

2nd  Anneke Hollemans  -  Quellyane Benvenida   B/C

Get the heelwork position right and you will be ready to move on to the higher class.

3rd  Jose Flierman  - Nice Of You To Come Bye Be Clever  B/C

4th  Rose Dewulf  -  Bekkis Yours Faithfully    B/C

5th  Sandra Pierson  -  Akso                  B/C

6th  Rineke Smit  -  Tika Jillaroo Uluru  Australian Kelpie

The above four, I feel, all need more time at this level before moving on, then should all be able to progress successfully.

CLASS C         22 entries  13 trained  9 worked

1st  Guus Scholten  -  Colliewood Velazquez Giovanni   W/S

This team were in a class of their own today with a stunning round. All set exercises were brilliantly executed, topped with excellent handling and stunning heelwork. This should stand them in good stead for Crufts 2010.

2nd  Gwen Griffioen  -  Wyndanwood Plymouth Road Runner Aus/Shep

Gwen and Riley were another team make their mark today. Showed powerful stylish heelwork but let down by accuracy in set exercises.
Should, however, make their mark in 2010.

3rd  Mia Bosschaart  -  Mamamia’s Tyke  W/S

Mia, what a good dog Tyke has been to you, he always works his heart out. Bits and pieces throughout lost you marks today.
Good luck for the future.

4th  Steven Vannieuwenhuyse  -  Bytchek Esquire   B/C

This team is improving all the time. Has a tendency to lose position in heelwork. Sort this out and you should move on to higher things. Always a pleasure to judge.

5th Danielle do Jonge  -  Mikey    B/C

This is one of my favourite teams but a missed position proved too costly today.

6th  Greet Vink  -  Kyrill v. Berlaere    B/C

Kyrill  was a little unsettled today but in Greet’s capable hands to bring him along gently, improvement should come through.
