Dutch Obedience Society Lewedorp – 19th June 2010
Our sincere thanks to the Dutch Obedience Society committee for their kind invitation to judge.
This country’s reputation for producing motivated dogs was very much in evidence. Well done to you all, you should be very proud of the way your obedience dogs work, long may it continue? Note ably too, there were more young handlers, all enthusiastic and just lovely with their dogs and rather more men competing too! There were lots of training rounds, which we don't mind at all, in fact we would rather see the handlers use their time in the ring productively to build there dogs confidence in the ring. There were some great training rounds. Thank you also to Ed Vinck – Chief stay steward and his band of helpers, stays saw some of the good teams denied of a place today. It was so refreshing to attend a show with so much camaraderie.
We must also thank our most generous hosts Lucie and Benie Van de Casteele, you made us so welcome, and fed us at every opportunity, drove us around the country sightseeing. Your hospitality and kindness was overwhelming, how can a ‘thank you’ ever be enough.
Pre-Beginners, Beginners and Class ‘C’ – Susanne Jaffa
Thank you to my team of Hans who stewarded the C and Pre Beginners and Heidi who stewarded the Beginners. Benie stayed on the table all day (not literally) and totted up all the scores and kept the paper work in order. Judging 3 classes was challenging but I do so enjoy watching your dogs work. Thank you so much for the privilege.
