Score Steward          Class C, Bennie         Class A, Paul

Thank you so much to Rick for inviting us to judge at your show organised on behalf of The Dutch Obedience Society.  Stella and I were made very comfortable in their home by Rick and John and looked after us very well.  Thank you too to Martin for the providing such excellent indoor facilities for both the show and the judging seminar held on Sunday.  It was a shame that some of those who had booked to attend could not even apologise for not being there!  Many congratulations to the 7 who did attend for passing their exam.  Not easy when English is not your first language.
Both Hans, class C and Guus, class A were great ring stewards, keeping the class running smoothly and making sure all competitors were kept on course.  Bennie and Paul were most efficient on score making the paperwork so easy.  Thank you to you all.
As always the dogs were very well motivated but some require a little more discipline in their work others were unlucky making expensive errors.  Those who were most successful on this occasion were;

Class C (morning)

1st         Bianca van der Post with Generous Genial Ginny, Aus. Kelpie.  This lady and her dogs always produce super heelwork, both keen and accurate.  Very smart ASSD helped the overall picture.  A superb scent secured the win.  Many congratulations and well done.

2nd       Guus Scholten with Colliewood Valequez Giovani, W/S.  Guus has put in a great deal of work to improve Gio’s heelwork and it has paid off.  This was a really good round, such a shame he did not collect from the down position otherwise the win would have been yours.

3rd        Henk Eekman with Borders For Joy Freedom of Faith, B/C.  Not a team I have judged before but I was well impressed and am sure they will do well.  Super heelwork, but a missed position here and in DC was expensive.

4th        Helen Braak with Quit-Kuma The Lovely White Shepherd, GSD.  Helen and Kuma really enjoy their work, but with a little noise that does need to be controlled.  Super normal pace heelwork, but fast and slow paces need a little more work.

5th      Ineka Happee with Bright She Shall be v.d. Wilbam, B/C.  A little untidy so more work needed in all exercises but I’m aware this handler has difficulty moving at fast pace but with this talented collie still has potential to do better.

6th        Mia Bosschaart with Mamamia’s Tyke, W/S.  Tyke has been such a good dog over the years.  The set exercises were well executed this time, but heelwork was a little untidy resulting in this lower place.

7th        Rick van Veeran with Sealight Flash of Lightening, B/C.  Flash is no youngster but still enjoys every minute of his work.  Rick had a good day with her dogs on top of organising the day and looking after us!  Not bad really!

Class A (afternoon)

1st        Mirjam van den Broek with Z Joe, B/C.  A most worthy winner, little to mark in all exercises, confident and accurate.  Very well done.

2nd       Jose Flierman with Nice of you to come bye Be Clever, B/C.  Another good round, close behind the winner and so could easily win on another day.  God luck and well done.

3rd        Henk Ackerman with Britt Dare van‘t Lode Sal land, GSD.  Potentially very good but this shepherd does need more confidence in heelwork to do well and move up the classes.

4th        Jose van deer Randi with Sunny from the Magic Sunshine, Cavalier King Charles.  Such a happy attentive working dog, just a little more accuracy needed in heelwork to move higher up the line.  Good recall, retrieve and scent made certain of this place.

5th        Frank Musters with Best Yazz of Clover Corner, B/C.  Worked first so did well in view of all the pressure this would have had on handler and dog.  Very good recall, retrieve and scent, but a few too many points on heelwork to be placed higher.

6th        Petra Varying with Sienna, Jostle Tura.  Joint leader until scent but lack of confidence here resulted in this lower place.  However the work was of a very good standard and with more work on scent I’m sure will do well in time.

7th        Rose Dewulf with Bekkis Yours Faithfully, B/C.  Another of the three joint leaders before scent and stays but a movement in the sit stay lost too many marks to remain at the top of the class.  Such an unfortunate day, so better luck for the future.  No doubt another day will bring you success.
