SHOW: DUTCH OBEDIENCE SOCIETY DATE: 15 October 2011 VENUE: `s-Gravenpolder JUDGE: Mrs Stella Henstridge
My thanks to the Dutch Obedience Society for inviting Sue and I to judge. Although this is a very good venue, spacious and has excellent facilities, this being the first indoor show for the winter season some dogs appeared to have difficulty with the floor at times. NOVICE
1ST Yvonne de Brucker-Hollyoak with Fire`n Ice-Maya, Border Collie A very good round with few errors heel on lead. Not quite so confidant Heel free, even so very neat work. Very well done and congratulations on your win. 2ND Inge de Graauw with Borders for Joy Infinite Fidelity, Border Collie. Another good round, only minor errors in heel on lead, but didn’t start with the handler, heel free. Good recall and retrieve. Well done. 3RD Yvonne de Brucker-Hollyoak with Kate-y-Tippel, Border Collie. Two dogs in the line up can’t be bad. Worked well, but was a little loose on turns and tended to lose position on turns. Well Done. 4TH Marie Vanuxem with Tao the Two Faced Dog, Working Sheepdog. A little loose at times especially on turns. 5TH Christina Decuypere with Gamesome Gemmacara, Australian Shepherd. Had a tendency to drift especially on turns and had a very messy present the recall. 6TH Rineke Smit with Sundae Black Kelly, Working Kelpie. Heelwork was good and had clear recall and retrieve. Just a shame about the sit stay 7th Judith Lerno with Siecie, Fox Terrier. Had a tendency to drift and lose position in heelwork.
CLASS A 1ST Carola v. Tilburg with Luna Tale Gyhro, Border Collie. 2ND Marie Vanuxem with Tao the Two Faced Dog, Working Sheepdog. Again good heelwork, just a little loose on some turns. Recall and retrieve were costly. Well done. 3RD Ellen Reijenga with Alliance de la Banty’s Djinthy, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. A little loose at times and had a tendency to drop back in heel work. Good recall and retrieve. 4TH Margreet Mijnsbergen with Djinja from the Go-Getters, Golden Retriever. A little eratic in heel work drifting and loosing position on turns.
5TH Sandra Pierson with Gowah of Wendevick Home, Border Collie Wide heelwork and loosing position was the cause of the loss of most of the marks today. 6TH Rick v.Veeren with Sealight It’s a Magic Miracle, Border Collie. Nice heelwork from this team today but handler lost concentration on the recall otherwise would have been at the other end of the line up. 7TH Timoty de Cleyn with Bono of Geronimo’s Tribe, Grote Munsterlander. Very good heel work but more work needed on retrieve and stays. |
